When I facilitate Continuing Loving Bonds Story Sharing Circles, small groups of six to sixteen warm-hearted and wise people gather together to teach each other about how we are going about Continuing Our Loving Bonds with loved ones who have died. We learn with each other and from each other by sharing our stories of love, resilience and spiritual growth.

We are participating together in developing and field testing a workbook that will accompany my memoir: Together Still: Love Beyond Death.

All of our stories touch me deeply, such as Madge’s dream from 50 years ago. In her dream, her ten year old son Trent was leaping up and down on a heavenly bed, laughing with joy, letting his Mom know that he was okay.

This story and all our stories of love, resilience and spiritual growth teach us that our loving bonds that continue for the rest of our lives are made up of reassurance, surprises, laughter, beauty, honesty, art, music, sweetness, affirmations and so much more.

We can share our stories in many ways including songs, poetry, story-telling, writing, and videos. This video is one of the stories I told at my friend Trudy’s celebration of life on May 2, 2025.

Vic died in February 2024. After a year of being surrounded by, revitalized by and lifted up by the love and support from their many friends, Trudy joined Vic in February 2025. The symbol for their great love of each other was Michael’ Buble’s song, Save The Last Dance For Me. With the help of Michael Buble, this is their story!

My name is Linda Hill. My book, Together Still: Love Beyond Death is a memoir about how I learned to continue my loving bonds with my beloved spouse John Scull and re-orbit my body, mind, heart and soul around love and happiness.

Now I travel the world in person and on-line facilitating Story Sharing circles and other community education about the power of love for resolving grief. Continuing our loving bonds with our spouses, best friends, parents, siblings, children and other loved ones who have died is a healthy way of resolving grief. The healing outcomes are spiritual growth, resilience, strength, forgiveness, and eventual transformation of grief and suffering into peace, purpose, hope, confidence and joy.
